ICT on PRAC Response

I also saw some interesting use of ICT on prac. They had a very dedicated stafe of computing and tech teachers who had set up a remote server for the schools intranet system. They were trialling it for teachers when I was there. This allowed them to complete tasks in markbook, reports and paperwork from any remote computer. The trial was going to extend to the students intranet for seniors if the teacher server worked well.
This sort of thing is a good idea as long as the relevant steps for security are taken. This would give students access to their email system and notices and school applications from home or any remote internet device. This could have the potential to elp with student’s private study.
